Your adventure begins after sunset when the neon lights illuminate the city. Meet your guide at the bustling Shinjuku station before setting off into the heart of the city.

You will discover the best vantage points in the busiest area in Tokyo: Shinjuku. We will capture the streaming traffic and the vibrant colors of the city lights. Use leading lines and other composition techniques to create dynamic images. Learn how to best shoot urban landscape at night to create depth in your photos.

You will also learn how to best convey the chaos of the crowds by utilizing long exposure techniques. Together we will find shots that go well beyond the obvious.

After a short train ride to Shibuya, you guide will show you shooting locations rarely visited by travels despite being very photogenic. At this point you should be able to handle the necessary camera settings on your own, though we will always be there to help. You will let your imagination run free and utilizes angles and creative compositions to create your own unique vision of Tokyo.

Finally, we will head to the famous Shibuya Crossing and capture the scene in an exciting and unexpected way.

Reviews

  1. Took the photography tour led by Lukas thru Shinjuku and Shibuya. I broke some of my core rules but learnt some more about composition and tricks to frame in a way to remove distractions. Lukas was well versed in the operation of the cameras in the group and gave insightful advice into the best viewpoint , how to approach candid street photography and what angles offer a composition.

  2. Was very impressed with the whole tour. The photographer, Lukas, was able to teach us a lot about our various camera settings, and by the end of the tour, we were able to set most of them up without prompting. The locations were great, and the whole tour was a lot of fun. I’d definitely recommend it!

  3. The guides knowledge of the area and the groups various different cameras was excellent. He was very enthusiastic about his job. I learned a lot about my camera in a very short time and came out with some awesome shots.
