Who I am
Originally from London and now based in Tokyo, I am a street and documentary photographer capturing fleeting moments, expressive characters, and cinematic urban scenes. I often explore abstraction through reflections, shadows, and movement. I am also the founder of Tokyo Streets, a grassroots exhibition series spotlighting international street photography in Japan giving me years of experience exhibiting and curating work from emerging and established photographers.
What I do at EYExplore
At EYExplore, I guide workshops at Daikoku Parking Area, where Japan’s vibrant car culture comes to life. As a street photographer with a deep passion for cars, I use photography to document this unique subculture—capturing the atmosphere, personalities, and machines that make Daikoku so iconic. It’s about more than just cars—it’s about telling stories through the lens.
Where I explore
My favorite places to shoot are around the major stations like Shimbashi and Shinjuku, as well as the backstreets in between, that give Tokyo its unique character. I also enjoy exploring lesser-known areas, always on the lookout for hidden gems tucked just around the next corner.
Why I love photography
I love photography because it lets me slow down and see what others might miss. It’s a way to tell stories without words—capturing moments that feel both personal and universal. Most of all, it gives me the freedom to be creative wherever I am, whether on the street or at a midnight car meet.
