Who I am

I am a Poland-born photographer who has lived and worked in Hong Kong for the last 16 years. Growing up in Europe, my vision of Hong Kong was mostly formed by the cinema. Since then, I have been trying to recapture the city I remember from my dreams. I studied American Film and Theatre, and the many photographic influences for photography come from my favourite visionary directors such as Krzysztof Kieslowski, Andrey Tarkovsky and Wong Kar Wai.

What I do at EYExplore

I am running street photography workshops in Hong Kong.

Where I explore

My favourite route stretches from Mong Kok to Jordan and Tsim Sha Tsui, a vibrant, crowded neighbourhood where the old and the new collide. By day, it buzzes with energy; after sundown, neon lights transform it into a glowing spectacle. On Hong Kong Island, Central and Causeway Bay offer a different pulse—busy with lunchtime rushes and shopping sprees, framed by high-rise buildings that reflect light and create dramatic, theatrical scenes.

Why I love photography

Photography is my therapy. Each time I head out with my camera, I reconnect with the city and rediscover why I moved to HK over 16 years ago. Photography doesn’t just capture reality—it transforms it, adding beauty or romance through my lens. A hundred photographers could shoot the same scene, and all could produce distinct images, each shaped by their unique perspective and experiences. That individuality, that ability to craft a personal vision, is what makes photography endlessly fascinating.
