1. How did you capture this image? What gear/settings did you use?
We stood by this restaurant’s doorway waiting for the right moment when someone would be seen through the window while Axel was humorously assisting me by manipulating the fabric on the door. I was able to capture this image after a few minutes. The camera that I used was an Olympus OM-D E-M5, my lens was a 12mm f2.0, and the settings were at ISO 2500, f2.0, and 1/250 sec.

3. What is your background in photography?
I started out taking a film photography class in college about 6 years ago, but didn’t take photography seriously until I studied abroad in Japan in 2012. I wanted to take beautiful photographs of my year abroad, so I took a few photo workshops and also taught myself how to take better photographs by just going out and shooting.
